Let me just start out by saying that having a blog on politics is something that I never thought I would see myself ever doing. But it turns out, reading information and watching videos is interesting. It definitely keeps me up to date with what is going on and it is suprisingly entertaining for me as well.

It's great you are getting interested in the issues.
When you are reading information about issues and candidates make sure you know the bias of the source you are getting the information from. Are they traditional conservatives or neo-cons, liberals or old liberals... It's good to read information from multiple sources to see what perspectives the different political groups have about an issue.
It's easy to make someone look really good and it's easy to make someone look really bad, especially when small quotes and quick video clips are used to give information.
A good poll for your blog might be, "where do you get your news from?"
this year i find myself listening more about the politics of things, and the candidates.definately learn the dark side of the runners,
